One of the perks of living in a big city is that events actually happen here. (DUH–but we were really excited abou this one–and it was free!) One of them we were really excited about was the Renegade Craft Fair. It’s basically just a bunch of really cool craft/artist people set up in booths. It’s held in Austin, Brooklyn, LA, San Francisco, Chicago and London. (If you leave in or near one of those cities, you really should go.) The one in LA was at the state park outdoors, so lil Albert got to go! He was quite a hit with many of the artists and enjoyed getting to see and do so much!
Rebekah, Emily, Brandon and savannah all enjoyed the fair as well, ate from the LA food trucks and picked up a few goodies. Brandon and savannah have been working on their gallery wall in the living room (we know, we know, you want to see photos), so it was a good chance to pick up some art from small (and many local to LA) businesses, meet the artists behind the work, decorate our walls and it will be a fun way to remember the adventure.
Savannah knew some of the vendors from their online presence, so she was super excited to visit their booths and see the work in person. She was pretty excited about these grey, wool felt, hand screened coasters from Cotton & Flax. Aren’t they adorable?
We’re really stoked on the rest of our finds, too. Hooray for handmade art for the walls!
