One month ago (last night, but who wants to post at 11 pm), we arrived home with our newest family member, Albert. Over the course of the last month, he has really adapted to our routine, is always game to try new things and is such a good little boy.
A typical day in the life of Albert:
He sleeps in until we wake him up and then goes for a little walk with Brandon. Albert patiently sits at the back door and watches as Brandon preps his bike and puts on his helmet and runs to the front of the house when he sees Brandon bike off to work. Albert sleeps all morning while savannah works and they go for an after lunch walk, usually around 3p. After lunch, he takes another nap. Around 5:30, he starts asking to play. When Brandon gets home, we go for a longer walk, prep dinner (he LOVES watching us work in the kitchen) and he plays with toys while we eat. Afterwards, it’s time for snuggles on the couch, another short walk and back into the crate to sleep.
Lil A LOVES going places, riding in the car (he jumps in by himself), meeting other dogs (regardless of size) and playing in the yard. He’s very patient and just looks at us and smiles while we fumble for keys to come in the door after walks. He loves sleeping belly up, chewing on his toys and hanging out on the couch. He makes us laugh ALL the time and never fails to put a smile on our faces. It’s really just amazing how a creature, with who knows what kind of upbringing, can come into your house and adapt to your schedule within a couple of weeks and be so sweet and good. Dogs are so amazing.
And, of course, being a photographer, we have to take lots of photos of the little guy, so this seems like a pretty good excuse to share some of our favorites (yes, there are way more, but we’ll spare you). Photos!

So!!! cute!!! there is just nothing like a WARM FUZZY — always ready for some love. Love back in return. Our Erika is a rescue too. So well trained when she came to live with us. Had been found in Pampa, TX shipped to a resuce in Dalhart. Meaghan had Erika on her TV show in Amarillo. So I saw her live via the internet. We were never ever going to get another one after CC — as you know — so sad to give one up. One month to the day we meet Debbie in Vernon — she became our warm fuzzy. Enjoy the little Dude. Fan

Adorable.
Sometimes I wish our little creature was a lighter shade of black…she’s especially hard to capture on our phones in the moment.

it’s probably a good thing we don’t live closer, or i might have stolen that precious puppy dog already…
